Sorry this has taken so long to truly be the 'latest' on me!
PhD Update
Had meetings in London, Abingdon and Glasgow since I last updated this.... Jet set or WHAT!?!
This appear to be going quite well. The next important thing for me as regards my PhD is an
experiment due to start on the ASTRA laser at RAL on 9th June. This wil be the first experiment
where I'll get to be make regular and almost influential decisions! I'l be running it with
Stuart Mangles from Imperial College (like me but a year ahead and actually based there)

don't really want to know any more!!!
Accomodation update!
The fun house in Tooting had to be exchanged for a more suburban residence nearer the lab. I'm now
resident in a little suburb of Oxford known as Kennington. Quiet but picturesque and a nice
20 minute drive from the lab. A 20 minute drive made all the more pleasurable (?!?!?) by sharing
it with Kate Lancaster (PhD student from the next office to mine). I share a house with my PostDoc
researcher Dr Stefan Karsch. Had a couple of nights out in Oxford so far, but still have plenty
more pubs and bars to discover!!!!
Future Plans
Cedar Point Reunion!!!
Loads of the people I met at Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, OH are
reuniting in Belfast on the weekend of 15th - 16th March!!! Can't wait :o)
UCLA Trip!
Just booked my flights to Los Angeles. I'm being sent on a kind of 'fact-finding' mission. The purpose
of the trip is to basically become entirely literate on a computer program called OSIRIS. The point of
of this program is basically to reproduce the experimental results I'm going to obtain with theory.

So, I'm gonna be flying out to La on 17th March, touchng down back in London on 18th April.
Trips to Scotland?
If anyone actaully cares.....
I'll be home over Easter to attend the wedding of Miss Alison Gouldwell and Dr. Richard Bates.
That means I'll be home on the evening of the 18th April, staying in Scotland until the 22nd
April - then it's back to work!
No other trips home planned..... YET!!!
